Safety is our number one priority.
We are proud of our safety program and its resulting record of zero lost time accidents since 1996. Our current EMR is 0.90, which is calculated as part of the State of Maine’s worker’s comp pool.
Our company’s management recognizes the importance of a strong safety program and is committed to providing a workplace for our employees in which potential hazards are controlled or eliminated.
Creating a safe workplace demands a thorough understanding of the hazards involved and methods of controlling or eliminating them. Employee education and training is as important as the enforcement of established safety regulations.
We encourage all employees to observe safe work practices, ask questions, and take an interest in developing additional safe practices and methods. When individual and collective skills are fully applied to create a safe workplace, accidents, and subsequent human suffering that can result, are avoided.
