Located at the Naval Submarine Base new London, Groton, CT this task order (#25) was issued as part of our firm’s Paving Repair IDIQ contract for multiple locations throughout the facility. It included the repair of areas of erosion and water damage located at a high traffic parking lot on base. KMK was responsible for managing site safety, quality control and overall execution of the work. Work consisted of the replacement of asphalt and curbing, restoration of eroded swale with filter fabric and rip rap, installation of fencing, drainage improvements, line stripping, and relocation of light poles including re-routing and terminating wiring. Pedestrian and traffic controls were implemented to allow continuous use of the space. KMK managed all subcontractors and self performed work that was not supplied by subcontractors, such as storm drain cover elevation adjustments, loam and seeding, parking lot layout before stripping and final cleanup of site.
This was a Delivery Order project for the Department of US Navy at the Submarine Base New London, Groton, CT.
